How it all started…

Danceography started with a deep love for dance, exercise and community. Shannon and Myra were born to dance. They wanted to create a fun and safe atmosphere for everyone to be themselves and have a full body dance workout without feeling the need to be perfect. Thus, Danceography was born in 2019 and going strong ever since. Please dance with us and come as you are!

Shannon Ketterman

Shannon grew up locally in Santa Cruz and has been dancing since she was a child. As an adult her passion for dance grew and she was determined to find a way to work out without loosing the creative expression of Dance! Her favorite styles are Hiphop, and Afrobeats

Shannon has a beautiful teenage daughter and has a wonderful blended family after marrying her childhood friend.

Myra Ryan

Myra Ryan grew up in the island of Oahu, Hawaii and moved to Santa Cruz, CA in 1997. Myra’s favorite style of dance is hula, tahitian, and hip hop. She’s taught dance to all ages for many years locally and internationally.

Myra is married to her wonderful husband for 19 years and have four beautiful children together.
